a. Note:   The 1860 Census shows Enoch Williams, age 23, born in Wales, living with John and Mary (Williams) Oliver and their family in the Township of Dodgeville, Iowa County, Wisconsin. The 1885 Minnesota state census shows Wm. W. Williams, age 67, born in Wales, living with Joseph and Ida Oliver in Clarissa, Iona Twp., Todd County. Joseph and Ida were enumerated as family #37. Joseph's parents were enumerated in the same location as family #36. It may be that Enoch Williams and Wm. W. Williams were brothers of Mary (Williams) Oliver.
  Obituary of Mrs. Mary Oliver, Long Prairie Leader, Wednesday, September 7, 1904, Page 8: "Mrs. Mary Oliver, mother of John Oliver of this village died at her home near Nevis. Funeral was held Saturday. She was quite aged and had suffered several strokes of paralysis, the last proving to be fatal. She and her husband had been residing with their son William. She leaves beside her husband, nine children. They are John, Benjamin, Joseph, William, Mrs. Kate Irwin of Brainerd, Mrs. Mary Waunch who resides in the state of Wash., Thomas, Mrs. Margaret Roberts, Mankato, Mrs. Lizzie Todd of Floodwood ".
