Notes
a. Note:   Obituary of Eva Oliver, Long Prairie Leader, Thursday, February 21, 1929: "EVA OLIVER IS CALLED BY DEATH - Eva Oliver, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Oliver, died at Osakis Friday morning, February 15. Her death was due to Bright's disease and she had been seriously ill about four weeks. The funeral was held at the Clotho church Sunday and interment was in the cemetery of the church. Rev. Mr. Nyborg, of the Long Prairie Baptist Church, officiated and spoke comforting words to the bereaved family. The funeral was largely attended as the Oliver family are among the old residents of Leslie community and Eva had a wide circle of friends who greatly mourned her death. She was born in Leslie township February 9, 1910, and was the youngest child of the family. She spent her life in the community where she was born and also at Osakis, to which village the family moved five years ago. She is survived by her parents, three brothers and four sisters, who are, Earl Oliver and Arthur Oliver of Leslie; Edward Oliver of Reynolds; Mrs. E.B. Hallsted, of Deer River; Mrs. Merton Hamlin, of Long Prairie; Mrs. C.P. Morrow, of Leslie, and Mrs. John Tax, of Osakis. Cut down as she was at the threshhold of young womanhood just when life seemed opening in ripest and fullest measure, her death is indeed a sad blow to her parents, her brothers and sisters. Neighbors and friends, among them The Leader, extend their sympathy to them in their great bereavement."
