Notes
a. Note:   Leo TeVogt began working for the Soo Line Railway on October 13, 1918, at the age of 16, at Ogema, Minnesota. In order to help Leo get the job the agent at Ogema gave Leo's birth date as January 18, 1892, instead of January 18, 1902. In 1957 the Soo Line notified him that he had reached 65 years of age and would be retired from service. He had to provide the railroad with proof of his correct birth date in order to be able to continue working. Leo suffered a stroke while napping at home on August 31, 1985. He was admitted to St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls. On September 12, 1985 he was transferred to St. Cloud Hospital where he received physical therapy to help him recover from his paralysis of the right side of his body. He came home from St. Cloud on October 11, 1985. He recovered from most of the paralysis and was able to speak normally and use his right arm and hand but always had some trouble using his right leg.
