Notes
a. Note:   Obituary of Mrs. Harry Halseth, Little Falls Daily Transcript, Tuesday, November 29, 1927: "DEATH CLAIMS MRS. HALSETH - Fails To Rally From Operation; Rites To Be Held Thursday - The entire community was shocked by the news of the sudden passing of Mrs. Harry B. Halseth which occurred at Hall's hospital this morning at 1:30. An operation for a ruptured appendix on Wednesday last at midnight, while seemingly successful, proved too much for the frail little body when infection set in, and as it must some time come to us all, death came as a relief. Elizabeth Ann Hanson was born in Sleepy Eye on February 11, 1881, to Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hanson. Leaving Sleepy Eye with her parents when a mere child, she lived for a short time in Minneapolis. Later Mr. and Mrs. Hanson moved to Little Falls when Elizabeth was about 12 years of age and she had since made this place her home with the exception of the first year of her married life. Her marriage to Harry B. Halseth took place in Park Falls, Wis., on March 4, 1899, and the couple resided in the Wisconsin city for a year, after which they moved to Little Falls. They have made their home here permanently since that time. Here were born to them two children, Mrs. Arthur Simonet (Irene Halseth) and Roland Halseth. Other surviving relatives are: Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hanson, the parents, and a brother, C.W. Hanson of Port Arthur, Canada; John Hanson and Mrs. Bloss Luxton of Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Joel Smith of Kaiser, Wis., and Mrs. Oscar Lindberg of St. Louis, Mo. Funeral services will be held at the Arthur Simonet home at 2:15, Thursday afternoon, followed by short services at the Congregational church with Rev. Paul J. Bockoven officiating."
