a. Note:   Obituary of Mary Hansen, The Port Arthur New-Chronicle, July 24, 1935, page 2: "MRS. MARY HANSEN - Resident of Port Arthur thirty-two years, Mrs. Mary Amelia Hansen, 83, mother of C.W. Hansen, cigar store operator, died last night. The family home is at 185 St. James street. Mr. Hansen died some years ago. Besides her son in the city, she is survived by other relatives, including fifteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon from the chapel, 21 North Court street, to Riverside Cemetery. Services will be conducted by Rev. E.G.D. Freeman of St. Paul's Church United."
  Funeral notice for Mary Hansen, The Port Arthur News-Chronicle, July 26, 1935, page 2: "MRS. M.A. HANSEN - The funeral of Mrs. Mary Amelia Hansen was held yesterday afternoon from the chapel, 21 North Court street to Riverside Cemetery. Services were conducted by Rev. E.G.D. Freeman of St. Paul's United Church. Pall bearers were Frank Samec, Clarence Samec, Chester Blakely, William Checkly, Charles McDines and Clyde Ferguson."
