Notes
a. Note:   A letter from Teri Robertson, great-granddaughter of Lincoln Bert Twichell, <troberts@@broadviewnet.net> on March 23, 2001, contained the following information from the obituary and 50th wedding anniversary of Lincoln Bert Twichell: "Lincoln Bert Twichell, son of Mr. & Mrs. Horace Warner Twichell, was born October 16, 1867, at Burnhamville, Minn. and died after a long illness on October 20 (1948) at his home here at the age of 81 years and 4 days. He came to Kansas City, Kansas, then called Wyandotte, in 1887, having lived for some time previously at Brainerd and Lake City, Minn. In Kansas City he learned the carpenter's trade with his half-brother, George R. Perley. He was one of the organizers of the carpenters of Kansas City, and since 1909 was known as the Hustling Business Agent of Carpenters No. 138 and 1285. He worked on the Kansas City Star building, on the remodeling of the home of Cap Nelson, owner of the Kansas City Star and during his 42 years residence there worked continually on the buildings which make the skyline of Kansas City, Mo. In 1932 he helped remodel the White House in Washington, D.C. He was a member of the Pride of the West I.O.O.F. 484 and Naomi Rebekah Lodge No. 541 of Kansas City, Kansas, of the Roger Sherman Masonic order and of the Presbyterian church. On October 28, 1888 he was united in marriage with Miss Alice May McNarie in Old Wyandotte. To this union 11 children were born, five of them preceding him in death on October 28. He and Mrs. Twichell would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Mr. & Mrs. Twichell moved to Baldwin in 1928. "
