Note: The marriage of William McBride and Julia Ann Mallan on December 10, 1865, is the first marriage recorded in the records of St. Mary's Church of Bellechester, MN. The death of William McBride was reported in the Lake City Sentinel on November 6, 1886, as follows: "The death of William McBride removes from Mount Pleasant a good citizen whose friends were numbered by his acquaintances, Deceased has been in poor health for some time. He was 50 years old. The remains were followed to the cemetery by many old friends." The death record of William McBride lists his father's name as Sam and his mother's name as Jane.
