Note:   The name of Mary Jane as the mother of John, Mary, William and Daniel is based on information in the Certificate of Death for Mrs. Mary Dunn (Mary McBride), which gives her mother's name as Mary McBride, the Certificate of Death for William McBride, which gives his mother's name as Jane and the Certificate of Death for Daniel McBride, which gives his mother's name as Jane Speers. Both John and William McBride named one of their daughters Mary Jane. Mary McBride Dunn named one of her daughters Mary. Also, a letter to John McBride, from his brother Daniel, says that he named his daughter Jane, after his mother.
