Note: The following was told to Timothy Richard Fellows by his father Darrel Richard Fellows but has not yet been proven by documentation. Scotch Irish / English origin The Fellows came to the U.S. possibly during the potato famine (1845-1847). The Fellows clan settled in the "Pennsylvania Dutch" area. An argument in the family caused Tom's family to move to Burnside Illinois. Tom had four or six brothers. Tom didn't get along with his brothers so at age 16 he went out to Oregon to live with one of his uncles. He traveled up and down California for a while then ended up in Eustis Village Nebraska (around 1894). He met and married Grace Nicholes probably around age 25. According to Audette Austendorf, Grace was 16 years old when she married. Tom was a butcher by trade in Eustis and found that Grace had an eye for the gentlemen. To remove any temptations, Tom decided to move to the country to become a farmer or ranch hand. They moved south of Willow Island around Eustis and Cozad Nebraska vicinity. Arthur Fellows is Possible one of Toms brothers name. Family had guessed his age at time of death and placed 1871 on his head stone as year of birth.
