From a newspaper clipping in the files of The Clark County Genealogy Library, Marshall, IL January 3, 1900 Uncle John Sockler returned one day last week from Kingfisher, Okla., where he visited the family of his son, Charlie. Charlie and wife are the parents of a baby girl (Violett) born on Dec. 20.
