Here is a bit of my line of Newell's. We, go back further-but I will start with Thomas Newell 1620-1689/Rebecca Olmstead 1624-1698 Samuel (Ensign) Newell 1660-1753/Mary Hart 1666-1752. Samuel Newell 1686-1751/Sarah Norton 1689-1775. Asahel Newell 1775-1769/Hannah Woodruff (D.A.R.).1731-1815. Charles Newell 1761-1810/Rachel Sarah Hazzard 1731-1813. Porter Newell 1801- / Elizabeth Tuttle 1799-. I can't find where they rest-mystery)Last census 1870 -they were 70yrs old in Rock Island, Illinois. This is only brick wall I'm on haa. Wickliffe Guy Newell 1846-1931/Mary Ellen Lawver1830-1913 (my great great grandparents.) They, traveled all the way to WA. state and he fought in civil war. Founded Wray, Colorado and was Treasure in Furnace county Nebraska. Born in Ohio to Porter. Guy Luther Newell 1876-1948/Ida Vosburg1882-1945. Wickliffe Guy Newell 1907-1965/Helen Cook 1906 ( they are my grandparents-my Mother's). My Grandma will be 105 this year. My Mom-Maryanne passed away 3 years ago and my Dad 7 months ago. ( very hard for me--but strength comes from somewhere) My Mom has 4 siblings living age in their 80's. And numerous other Newell's here.
