Note: From: Gerald Chapman (May 2015) THIRD GENERATION Pg. , Chapman Family Book John Chapman, 4th son of Deacon Nathanael Chapman and Mary Collins, born May 18, 1694, married Sarah Jones, April 15, 1730, and they had seven children. He died, according to the Guilford probate records, in 1746. FORTH GENERATION Pg. 195, Chapman Family Book John Chapman, 1st son of John Chapman, grandson of Deacon Nathanael Chapman, born April 28, 1731 and died in 1782. He married Esther Dudley in 1767. They had three children, and resided in Say-Brook, in what is denominated the ferry district. The time of her death is not known. John is the Joiner who crafted the Chapman/Person Highboy.
