Note: am Stephanek, Boulder, CO, 1987. Page 26--"Some time between that winter fire of 1657 and 1664 when HENRY and JOANNA are documented in Killingworth, Connecticut, we know that they set off with the step-daughter, Elizabeth, from Roxbury southwards towards Providence and Long Island." Page 45--"Looking back over HENRY'S life one can call him a well-travelled man. He crossed the Atlantic, and moved through New England and across the Long Island Sound twice. His civic and church obligations were well and carefully performed. His care and concern not only for his son, PETER, but for the two step-children portray a man of great sensitivity and kindness. His position as the first Deacon of the first church of the town (Killingworth) assures him a permanent place in early New England history."
