Notes
a. Note:   Eileen [email protected] Apr 20 (3 days ago) to me Hi, Barbara: You and my wife, Eileen, have exchanged a couple of messages and it turns out that we are cousins of some degree. Bridget Thompson, wife of George Denison, was a half sister to my original immigrant ancestor, John Thompson. John was a son of the unknown first wife while Bridget was one of several children of the second wife. John and Mirable (Griggs) Thompson were in Wethersfield, Ct. for just a few years before moving to Stratford, Ct. in 1639 or 1640. One of their sons is the Ambrose who married Sarah Welles about 1678. This line of Thompsons were in the Stratford area 4 generation, then in Litchfield for a few years, and went to Brattleboro about 1815 for 4 more generations before my grandfather and father moved to suburban Boston about the time of WW I.
