He went to Catawba, Clarke county, Ohio, in 1838, and to Sangamon county Ill., in the fall of 1839. After one or two visits back to Virginia, and three years spent in California, Samuel Grubb was married Nov. 19, 1853, in Rochester, to Adaline E. Lock.
