a. Note:   Obituary "John Poole, chemist at A.D. Little Action -- John A. Poole, 69, of Acton, formerly of Chelmsford and Lexington, died Thursday, March 16, 1989 at the Emerson Hospital in Concord. He was born in Evanston, Illinois, the son of the late Clarence and Marjorie (Adams) Poole. He graduated from high school in Evanston, and earned his B.S. degree from Union College in Schenectady, New York. Mr. Poole served in the U.S. Naval Reserves during WWII. He was a chemist at Arthur D. Little, and later established his own business. He was an Action resident since January, 1973. He survived his wife, Jane (Bishop) Poole; three daughters, Barbara Hilton and Cari Duffy, both of Virginia, and Susan Scaleg [sic] of New Hampshire; and two grandchildren, Brian and Sharon Asaro both of New Hampshire. Funeral services were private. Those who wish may make memorial donations to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, or to the American Diabetes Association.
