It is a land sale by Caleb Groat through his Attorney Solomon Squier to Asa Frary. Caleb Groat, yeoman of Sutton Township, sold the southerly half of Lot #2 in the 6th Range of the Township of Sutton to Asa Frary, blacksmith, also of Sutton Township for 100 pounds. The lot was about 100 acres. The document runs seven pages and the original agreement was signed by Solomon Squier, John Whailen, James Whailen, S. Gale and Asa Frary. Part of the documents acknowledge that Mr. Frary discharged his debt.
