"well, familysearch.org tells me that John Westover b. 1806 was in the 1861 Canada census, for Beverly, Wentworth co., Ontario. Also that he married a Lydia Havens, in Lincoln, Ont., 9 Mar 1830. An 'ancestral file' lists 7 children, starting with a Mahlon Westover. (I had never heard the name Mahlon before this Ontario group, but it likely relates to a "Colonel" Mahlon Burwell, one of the early worthies of southern Ontario. He had the Port Burwell church (Trinity Anglican) built, among other things.)
