At the age of twenty she married Sylsbre Rumery & had sons Lee and Horatio and daughter Maria. Burial in Poplar Hill Cemetery. *5.Betsey Jane Rumery was born 22 Dec 1826 at Middleburg,Schoharie,NY, moved to Monterey 2 Apr 1848, resided Monterey, died Monterey 3 Apr 1816 89y- 3m- 12d. *6.RUMERY- Betsy Lay Rumery was born on the 22d of December 1826 in the state of New York. She moved to Climax, Mich, with her parents at the age of eleven, and there grew to womanhood. She was married to Silsbrie Rumery April 1, 1946 [sic], and moved to the old homestead at Monterey, where she lived for seventy years. In 1858 she embraced present truth, under the labors of M.E.Cornell, and had been faithful ever since. Her death occured April 3, 1916, she being 89 years, 3 months, and eleven days old. She grew to womanhood in Climax, Mich., and on April 1, 1846 was married to Silsbire Rumery. They moved to a homestead in Monterey, where she made her home for seventy years. Through the efforts of Elder M.E.Cornell she embraced present truth in 1858, and until her death April 3, 1916, continued faithful to God. Two of her four children with one step-son survive. J.M.
