a. Note:   ife, March the 17th, 1776, Aged 42 years. "These deaths are much to be observ'd, Such instances are scarce heard off. Six weeping Children in Eight Days, follow'd Father and Mother to their Graves. My Children dear behold and See, no age nor Sex from death is free. Soon death may come & nip your Bud, and you must stand before your God." Here lies the body of Mrs. Mary Pool, wife to Mr. Eleazer Flagg Pool, who departed this life, March the 24th, 1776, Aged 43 years. "My Children now behold and View, these Bodies once took Care of you, But now are level'd in the Dust, In a short time You'll follow us. My loving Friends that are around, our lodgings now are in the Ground, Our Children Young we leave behind, deal you with them justly & Kind." Eleazer Flagg Poole, son of Jonathan Poole, Esquire and Esther (Flagg) Poole, was born May 24, 1734, in Woburn; was styled Ensign and Lieutenant; and was treasurer of Woburn from 1762 to 1773. Mary Poole, wife of Eleazer Flagg Poole, became a member of Woburn First Church, November 9, 1760. The register of their marriage does not appear on Woburn Records;, it being probably about 1756, since Mary, their first child on public record was born in that year. The "six weeping children: of the following: (1) Mary, born December 28, 1756, in Woburn; (2) Jonathan, born September 5, 1758; (3) Eleazer Flagg, born January 19, 1761, married Molly Reed, of Woburn, September 8, 1779; (4) Rufus, born March 30, 1769; (5) Esther, and (6) Theodore Carter Poole (twins), born July 7, 1772.
