a. Note:   From internet (Dec. 2007) "The Last Will and Testament of John Fellows of Sheffield in ye County of Hampshier and Providence of the Macichusets Bay in New England in Ye name of God Amen. I, John Fellows being sick and weak of body, but sound of mind and memory and knowing not how God Will please to Deal with me, do make and ordain my Last Will and Testament as followeth: Imprimous. I give and bequeath my soul unto ye Lord Jesus Christ my Precious Redeemer in hopes of a joyful resurrection and my bodey unto a decent Buriall at ye discression of my executors and touching my worldly goods and estate that God hath been pleased to bless me witall after my just debts and funerall charges are paid. Item. I give unto my dear wife Jerusha Fellows one third part of all my lands & meadows of all sorts except the farm I bought of Samuel Stephens with the one third part of my dwelling house and barn for her improvement during her natural life and one third part of all my houshold stuff indore moveables with two good cows and a good riding horse and ten sheep and a good side sadle. I give unto my wife forever to be att her dispose as she shall see cause. Item. I give my son Ezra Fellows besides what lands I have already given him forty five acres of lands att the north end of my farm and also one third part of my wright in my sawmill one yoke of oxen with yoke and chain one cow, one two year old heifer and fifteen sheep and fifty bushels of wheat and sixty bushels of oats. I give to my sd son and to his heirs forever. Item. I give to my dafter Rachel Holms besides what I have already given her, twenty pounds lawful money to be paid by my executor as hereafter. Item. I give unto my dafter Sarah Fellows sixty pounds lawful money to be paid by my executor as hereafter. Item. I give unto my son John Fellows, two thirds of all my farm that I now live on west of Sheffield, except what I have given my son Ezra already with two thirds of my now dwelling house and barn I give unto my son and his heirs forever; and after my wife dececeth I give unto my sd son all the meadows and lands and my whole house and barn which I gave unto her during her life to him, his heirs forever. Also all my stock all my catel, and horses, sheep and hogs and also all my moveable estates, both indores and out besides what I have already given away. Also my negro man Cuf with all my wright in the Iron works and one third part of my wright in my sawmill to him, his heirs forever, except what I shall here after appoint to him to pay out as my Executor. Item. I give unto my son William Fellows all my lands lying in the township of Sheffield, both divided and undivided and also the use of the improvement of sd land to be given to him, when he is of the age of twnenty and one years and also one yoke of oxen worth ten pounds lawfull money and one horse worth ten pounds lawfull money, and a good sadel and fifteen sheep and also all my Wright of lands purchased of the Indians lying in Tockonnack Mountain, and also thirty pounds lawful money to be paid By my Executor to him when he is of age of twenty and one years. I give it unto my sd son and his heirs forever and also one third part of my wright in the sawmill. And further more I do appoint my wife Jerusha Fellows and my son John Fellows to be Executors to this my last Will and Testament and I order my son John Fellows to pay out of what I have given him, unto my dafter Rachel Holmes ten pounds to be paid in household stuf to be paid in one year after my decese and ten pounds in money to be paid within two years after my decese; and also to my dafter Sarah Fellows, thirty pounds to be paid in household stuf and in stock within one year after my decese; and thirty pounds in money within two years after my decese; and Also to pay unto my son William Fellows, when he the sd William come to age of twenty and one years, thirty pounds in money and let him have one yoke of oxen worth ten pounds and one horse worth ten pounds and a good sadel and fifteen sheep; and also order him to let Hannah Douglass have a cow within one year after my decese; and in Confirmation that this is my last Will and Testament, I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this thirtyeth day of August A.D. 1757.
