Note:   Obit for Mirlena Wells, The Courier-News (Bridgewater, New Jersey), Saturday November 18, 2000 Lena Wells, 94, community volunteer WARREN - Lena Wells, 94, died thursday (Nov. 16, 2000) at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. Mrs. Wells was born and raised in Scotch Plains, and lived in Warren for more than 50 years. She was a director of Welfare in Warren Township throughtout the 1940's and later was a buyer for Bantam 5&10 store, formerly of Warren. Lena formed the first Girl Scout Troop in Warren. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Warren Volunteer Fire Department and very active in the Republican Party of Warren. Lena outlived two husbands: the late Pierre Frank, who died in 1962, and the late Charles Wells Sr., who died in 1980. Surviving are a son, Charles Frank Jr. of Ppringtown, Texas; a brother , Michael Osnato of Toms River; a sister, Mary Genovese of North Plainfield; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Scarpa funeral Home, 22 Craig Place in North Plainfield. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, in Scotch Plains. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Buried in Hillside Cemetery with her first husband Pierre Frank. Her headstone and memorial on Find-a-Grave makes no mention of her later marriage to Charles H. Wells, Sr.
