Note: tenant in the B24 Bomber Group of the 15th Air Force in Italy. He earned the Distinguished Unit Badge of the 465th Bombardment group of the 8 July 1944 mission on Vienna. He and the family lived in Denver (from 1939), Weisbaden Germany (3 years), Denver (3 years), Lackland AFB near San Antonio, TX (5 years), near Tokyo, Japan (3 years). During service, he earned a BS degree from the University of Maryland. He became a Lt. Colonel.
