a. Note:   ust 9, 1861, and was mustered in as a Private in Company E on August 26, 1861. He served until he was discharged due to disability at Fort Wood, New York Harbor on August 5, 1862. In 1900 Charles was an unmarried carpenter and builder boarding in Fieldsborough, Bordentown Township, Burlington Co., NJ. In 1920 he farmed in Mansfield, Burlington Co. with wife Georgina and son-in-law Howard S. Margerum and family. In 1930 he was was a widower boarding at 27 West Street, Bordentown.
