a. Note:   tering in 1878 and became a naturalized citizen. In 1900 Frank M. Fraga (born Dec 1860) was a sheep raiser in Modesto, Modesto Township, Stanislaus Co., CA (page 134) with his wife Lucy F. (Mar 1875) and children Lena, Frank, and Lucy. Daughter Lena was shown as born in CA. They reported having only 3 children, all living. In 1910 Frank W. Frago was a general farmer living alone in Township 4, Fresno Co., CA; he reported being married for 16 years. Family notes: Frank Frago was a very lickable man and nice looking. He loved horses and dogs. He was having a problem with his mail and started using Frago for his name, which appears on his tombstone. Frank and M. D. Hoffman were sheep partners in Nevada. Frank was the first Azores sheepman in Frenso County. He sold wool to San Francisco at the time of the 1906 earthquake and it was a total loss. He was a Trustee of West Park School. He became a member of the Republican Central Committee for the support of Hiram Johnson. Daughter Clara says he registered Democrat for the election of Woodrow Wilson. Frank had a doctor's visit and was told he didn't have long to live. He made funeral arrangements with Stevenson & Bean Funeral Home and went to confession to be prepared. He passed away in his sleep.
