Note: After the death of Walter, Emma lived alone on Main Street in Boonville, at least from 1920. Obituary: Boonville, Dec. 22 - At the home of her son, J. Howard Doig, at 12 Richfield street, Ilion, on Monday at 3 p.m., occurred the death of Mrs. Emma A. Doig, a lifelong resident of Boonville. Death was caused by a stroke, after which she was brought to Ilion. The deceased was born at Constableville, Lewis County, July 5, 1861, and was married on December 13, 1882, to Walter Doig, who died November 21, 1912. She was a member of the Episcopal Church. She is survived by two sons, Byron, New York City, and J. Howard Doig of Ilion; two sisters, Mrs. George D. Hawley, Greenfield, Cal., and Mrs. Carrie Covenhoven of Utica, also three brothers, Adelbert G. Hubbard of Ava, Luman Hubbard of Constableville, and Melvin Hubbard of Rome. The remains will be brought to this village, where the funeral services will be held from the Episcopal church Friday at 1:30 p.m.
