a. Note:   Obituary - The Kirwin Kansan (Kirwin, KS), 14 Feb 1907: Nancy Koons was born April 10, 1843 near Wapelo, Iowa. She was a daughter of Alfred Koons. On February 4, 1858 she married Samuel Price. She moved to Kansas in 1874 in 1883 moved to Nebraska and back to Kansas in 1896 and has since made this her home. Nine children were born to them three of whom Albert Price of Kirwin, Mrs. Henry Ludwig of Salem, Nebraska and Mrs. Jennie Abbott of California are still living. The latter was not present at the funeral. Five brothers William, Milton, Joe, George and Wilson Koons were all present at the funeral, William having come from Lukabelle, Oklahoma to be present. A large number of other relatives and friends attended the funeral which was conducted Saturday afternoon at 12 o'clock at the Delmar school by Rev. E. H. Wilson after which the burial was make in Delmar cemetery.
