In 1871 he was a general commission agent at 11 Plymouth Grove with is wife Jane and daughters Emily and Elizabeth, and sister-in-law Elizabeth Hickey (62 Manchester). In 1881 David was a commission Agent residing with his wife Jane at 12 Hilda Road, Lambeth, Surrey, England. In 1891 David was an engineering agent residing at 124 Lavender Sweep, Battersea, London with his wife Jane and a visitor Emily Lethem (35 Jacks Barton Spa). Probate: David Doig of 53 Liverpool Road, Birkdale Lancashire gentleman died 24 November 1895. Probate Liverpool 15 December to Jane Doig widow. Effects £430 6s 8d.
