a. Note:   The death record of her son Alexander Dewar gives her pob as Isle of Uraseirce, Portugal and in one census for him it showed Madeira (Portugal). These are the same places. However, her death record in Canada shows she was born in St. James, Jamaica in 1820. I believe she was born in Jamaica as was her husband Plummer Dewar. There is a baptism record for her that shows she was baptized in St. James, Jamaica on 24 June 1820. That is likely where she met her husband Plummer. She had 13 children with Plummer Dewar. From Find A Grave (Canada): Baptized 24 June 1820 at Jamaica, her father was the Scotsman Dr. Alexander Lawrence Pew who married Ann Mowatt in Jamaica in 1818. Burial: Hamilton Cemetery Hamilton Hamilton Municipality Ontario, Canada
