However, no census records ever had either of them with a middle initial, so this could be erroneous. Living in his household in 1850 was Elizabeth Cowles, 17 b MA - probable sister of Nancy. Andrew Campbell Birth: May 3, 1826 Death: May 24, 1899 Westfield Hampden County Massachusetts, USA According to U.S. Civil War Soldier Records and Profiles, Andrew Campbell of Westfield, Massachusetts, a Mechanic aged 37, enlisted on August 29, 1862, as a Captain. He was commissioned an Officer in Company C, Massachusetts 46th Infantry Regiment on October 15, 1862. He mustered out on July 25, 1863. He was the son of James and Sarah Johnson Campbell. According to his death record, he died of Pneumonia and Mitral Regurgitation of the Heart. He married Nancy Cowles in Westfield, Massachusetts on June 11, 1848. He married, second, Mary Jane Dolbey, in Westfield, Massachusetts on April 6, 1876.
