Note: N385 John worked for Rick Spann's sawmill in Vimy Ridge (Germania, walking to and from work each day, a distance of 3-4 miles. Their home was in the front yard of the house at 14023 Heinke Road, with the dug well in the back yard. The well is still there as of 1996, visible in the front yard. But at Dora's death, they lived in his sister's (Georgia) house, which was on the next 40 acres south, the address now is 8900 Dawn Drive, in Dawn Estates Subdivision, 2 1/2 miles south of Mabelvale Cut-Off Rd., and 1/2 mile north of Kling Road.
