  29 April 1849 Fayette County Georgia . Will of Mary Cockrell states husband Thomas Cockrell is deceased and Mary Cockrell bequeaths to her son-in-law Daniel Alewine all of Mary Cockrell's property. LDS Family History Library film 0209388 page 128 Fayette County, Ga probate records. The probate record states "Mary Cockrell late of the state of Alabama." Will wirtten 29 April 1849 and probated 1854.
  Possible proof that Thomas Cockrell, Sr was originally from Fairfield County, SC. His daughter Sinderly Cockrell married a Nobley and the Cockrell's of Fairfield County SC lived contiguous to the Nobleys. An early Fairfield Co., Will of a Nobley stated that his land was contiguous to that of B R Cockrells. (Note for Jack Olson's records)
