a. Note:   N13 Blonde and blue-eyed. Came on the same ship as her brother and Friedrich, his five children and Theresa Luke, 20, a domestic, all from New York. Friedrich's party was also in Second Class. His wife August had died in New York almost five months earlier. He was probably returning after spending the summer in Germany to place his children in school. Her last residence is listed as Grafenburg but that does not exist. It is possibethat it might have been Grevenbrück, a town not far from Helden.
