Note: N40457 I have information from Marilyn Cobb that William Cobb married Sarah Stancil, the name of their first child but I also have info from others that state he married a Barsheeba Whitehead. Maybe 2 different Cobbs though both list Dav id as their son. Per Marilyn Morris Cobb, this William who married Barsheeba was a cousin to our David Cobb line. I have also found a listing in Edgecomb county, North Carolina for a William Cobb on the 1790 census.
