 Confederate Veteran Passed Away at His Home in Williston,S.C.
 Was in Several Prominent Battles.

 WILLISTON,S.C.,DEC. 4---After an illness of about two weeks Mr. Lunsford Harley passed away at his home here yesterday morning at 6 o'clock. He was about 69 years of age, he was born April 6, 1843.
 Mr. Harley served in company 3, 1st S.C. Volunteers, durlng the Civil War. This company was one of the first organized in South Carolina and participated in all of the Chancellorsville,Bull Run and Manassas, in the two former of which Mr. Harley received wounds which caused him to be a life-long invalid. He bore his affliction with the most remarkable fortitude and patience. Never, in the long years of his suffering was he ever heard to murmer. Several days previous to his death Mr. Harley expressed a desire to be received into the Catholic church. Father Lannigan being present administered the rites of the church. In 1867 Mr. Harley was married to Elizabeth Hummel, daughter of Dr. Wm. Hummel, of Charleston. Of this marriage nine children were born, eight of whom, with his wife survive him. Col. J. Emile Harley of Barnwell, Messrs. Michael and Louis Harley, of Williston and Mrs. W.H. Croghan, of Charleston, Mrs. S.A. Wise of Williston and Misses Marie, Marguerite and Pamilla Harley of Williston.
 The funeral services will be held at the residence, and the interment will be in the Williston cemetery.
 Father Lannigan will officiate. Mr. Harley had many true and sincere friends, who deeply regret his passing and who earnestly sympathize with his bereaved family
