Note: In his early military reords, it lists his next of Kin as Rose Bernice Edmondson - wife - 3918 Florida Street, San Diego, that's crossed off, and then it becomes Mrs. Ruth Wright - Sister - 1514 Ripley Street, Bettendort, Iowa, with a handwritten mark that says "divorced" It also lists her as the beneficiary of his insurance on 3/24/1924. 1514 1/2 Ripley Ave, Davenport, Iowa Mrs. Ruth B. Wright, 30 years old, of R. R. No 1 on Middle Road, Bettendorf, died at 12:45 o'clock Tuesday noon at Mercy hospital following an illness of three weeks duration. She was born at Monmouth, IL on September 2, 1900, and was the daughter of Jesse and Ida Edmonson. She was educated in the schools of Monmouth, and was married to Clarence B. Wright at Clinton, IA in 1919. For the past four years she has been employed at the Eagle Cash & Carry store in Bettendorf. Surviving is one daughter, Patricia, one sister, Mrs. Blanche Browning of Kansas City, Mo., and two brothers, Harold and Harry Edmonson, both on duty in the United States navy. The funeral will be held from the McGinnis Funeral home at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon, and interment will take place in Oakdale cemetary.
