Notes
a. Note:   1860 Hart Co., KY census, H/H 185, age 16 b KY from Joy McCook, Midway, GA gedcom sent to A. D. Smith Oct 2005, and file of Nancie Carrigan Sep 2006. Nancie's file had this note by Mildred Routt: "Ethel Hudgins, a granddaughter of Kate...had only David for #6 [child of James Madison Bowling]. The census records lists Gaines (no David). It's my opinion David and Gaines are one." 1981 Directions to Bowling Cemetery: (from Nancie Carrigan's file Sep 2006) "Northwest from Garrison, Texas on Alternate Highway 95 about 7 miles. On right will come to a large cleared area with a large cattle feeder. Near the southwest corner of the pasture turn right on an oil dirt road. About 1 mile you will come past 3 or 4 dirt trails. Take the dirt road that makes a sharp turn back to the right. About 1/4 mile you will come to a cattle correll and a gate. Go through gate and go soutwest about 3 city blocks and wander around. We were almost west of the correll. Go until you can see the cemetery. It is very small with five3-4 foot stones." No note as to who wrote these instructions, but it may have been Bille Bowling Wheeler. From the website - http:\\www.cemeteries-of-tx.com/Etx/Rusk/cemetery/Foster.htm the location of Foster Cemetery is listed as, "Located in the Concord Community, Joseph English Survey, on land now belonging to theLangston Family, (1960). It is in a stand of large virgin pine timber. The Foster home was once nearby." census - 1880 Rusk County, Texas, Supervisor's Dist. No 1, Enumerator's Dist. No. 76 (Carrigan file) Boling, G.
