My thought is I wonder if this Green could connect to the Elizabeth Green who married William Duff, Jr.? Born in Ireland a son of Sir Wm. Duff, Sr., Wm. Jr. arrived in VA in 1712 from England. He was accompanied by Robert Green, a nephew of Duff's wife, Elizabeth Green. Robert later became executor and sole heir at law of Wm. Duff; the inventory was 2 Dec 1743; Will probated 5 Jul 1745. Duff, Jr. m Elizabeth Green, who had nephew Robert)] Wm Duff, Jr. held land patents with Jost Hite and Robert Green totaling over 30,000 acres in the Scotch-Irish settlement in Augusta Co, VA; 23,321 A on the north and south branches of the Shenandoah River in the northwest of VA and 7,009 a on the north side of Linwell's Creek on the west of the Blue Ridge.
