a. Note:   ied in Laurens Co. To the Choice Burial Place: From Fairview Rd., Turn on McKittrick Bridge Rd. After .6 of a mile turn left on Craigo Rd. for .2 of a mile. The graves are on the right and visible from the road enclosed in an iron fence. The Tully Choice grave is probably son of William Choice and Mary. (Info from A. D. Smith) William Choice s/o Tully and Anne Duff Choice married Mary McDonald 10 May/11 April, 1786 Laurens Dist. SC. Mary McDonald identified herself as such when she, as Mary Choice, applied for a pension. Conflict in marriage date is because she gave May 10 on her application, and her son William gave April 11 as day parents married when filing a declaration sometime after that. I have nothing further on her. (Info from Melba Dingler 3/4/2009) (From Jan Davenport 9/2011: Mrs. Mary Choice stated in 1844 in Greenville Dist., SC that she was present at the marriage of Tully choice and Rebecca, and that Jefferson Choice was JP in 1844 [maybe who officiated at the marriage]. [Greenville Co., SC Deed Book?] R-265: 15 Nov. 1834, Edith Champion of Rutherford Co. NC to Perry E. Duncan of Greenville Dist. SC, $130, land on headwaters of Reedy River, 121 acres and 40 acres (40 acres adj. Wm. Young's line), being the land included in a deed from John Champion and Mary Collins to Robert Duncan 9 Dec. 1797, except 200 acres which is excepted in that deed. Wit. Wm. Twitty, William Choice Jr. (FHL film 24,018) [sent by Ernie Perry 6/17/2009. William Choice, Jr. might be son of William Choice & Mary McDonald.]
