E. age 5 male b AL Message posted to ubolling database 8 Jul 2006 by Susan Coker ([email protected]) Edward & Martha Keeton appear on the 1860 Choctaw AL. census. Anyone researching this family, please contact me. This may not be the same Edward Keeton: Centerville Cemetery, Centerville, Leon Co., TX Edward Keeton b Orange Co., VA May 16, 1812 d 9 Jan 1879. This Edward Keeton is unidentified until more research can be done. There is a Mary Keeton buried next to him b 1834 d 1898; she could be a 2nd wife but cannot assume that Also buried this cemetery is John W. Keeton b 17 Mar 1816 Orange Co., VA d 27 Nov 1884 Centerville, TX. The 1870 Leon Co.,TX, Centerville, census shows Edward Keeton is "37" b VA [could that be clerk error and really 57?], farmer $4000-$1000 Mary is 35 b AL, Thaddeus is 21 b AL [too old for Mary]; Virgial, M 17 b AL; Sausa 18 f b AL; James E. 15 b AL, also John W. Keeton 53 b AL (error?), Engineer, who would fit the cemetery record. Virgil and James E. could be the same children as in the 1860 Choctaw Co., AL census. So, it's possible Mary is a 2nd wife and this is the same Edward Keeton. Just not sure.
