Haas and George Rupp, members of the Buffalo Liedertafel (German singing society); Erie County Public Library special collections, Buffalo, NY (psh --- 1998) _______________________ The following deed was discovered by Penn Watson, East Aurora, NY, in his research: "This Indenture made this 30th. day of October in the year of 1882, between Jacob Billo of the Town of Eden, County of Erie, State of New York of the first part and Martin Keller, Frederick Keller, John Steyer, Peter Donhauser, Christ Donhauser, John Donhauser, Charles Mackmer, Jacob Bieber, Jacob Haas, George Knolb, Martin Raecher and Christ Hornberger from the same place of the second part, Witnesseth that the party of the first part has leased unto the parties of the second part opposite of the St. Johns church on lot seven on the west side of the road one hundred and sixty feet long and three rods deep from the centre [sic] of the road for ninety nine years for thirty dollars for the purpose of building a shed and for no other purpose.
