Note: OBIT Jessie Gladys Colip, 95, died Sunday at the Andbe Home in Norton. The daughter of John Willis and Clara Myrtle (Kent) Hendricks, she was born Dec. 13, 1910 in Lenora. She attended District No. 82 rural grade school, and graduated from Lenora High School. She also attendedFortHays State College. Between the years of 1929 and 1943, she taught in rural Norton County grade schools and one year in the Almena Grade School. On May 23,1943, she and Ivan Manson Colip were married in rural Lenora. They made their home in Norton County where she was ahomemaker. Mr. Colip died Dec. 7,2000. She was a member of the Almena United Methodist Church and the Almena Rebekah Lodge No. 334. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son-in-law, Kent Carpenter; two grandchildren, Stephany Colip and Jason Colip; and two sisters, Lota Woods and Olive Swift. Survivors include: one son, Gordon, and Karen Colip, Goodland; one daughter, Marie Carpenter, Dodge City; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother-in-law, Ralph Swift. Friends may call today from 3 to 8:30 p.m. at Enfield Funeral Home in Norton. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday at the funeral home with Wilmer Severns officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Almena. A memorial has been established to theAlmenaUnitedMeth-odist Church. Contributions may be sent in care of Enfield Funeral Home, 215 W.
