I give unto my 4-sons: John, William, Henry, & Richard, the sum of 25 pounds sterling each. I give unto my son Joseph the residue of all my real & personal estate of every kind and nature and hereby appoint my son Joseph as sole Executor of my last Will & Testament on this 12th day of August 1912. Witnesses: Thomas Jones Teynon- CwmYGlo minister of the Gospel and John Thomas- 10 Dinorwic Street, Caernarvon (Journalist)
When Jane Owen died in 1915 only 1 of her 6 sons, Joseph Michael Owen, was present at her funeral in Cwm-Y-Glo, Wales. The other 5 were spread out across the world: Richard (Chicago, IL USA), Michael (buried in Vancouver Canada), John and William (Pilgrims Rest, South Africa), and Harry (New South Wales, Australia). Her son, Joseph Michael Owen and his wife Elizabeth, carried on farming at Llwyn Coed.
When Joseph Michael Owen died in 1933, John Michel Owen came home from South Africa to take over the farm and then his daughter, Elsie and her husband Tom, came to live there as well. Their son Eirwyn Williams was the last person to have been born in the LlwynCoed house.
