a. Note:   original surname in Genoa, Italy was Mazzini but took the name Oneto in this country. Family is unsure of which surname is correct name in Italy.
  BIOGRAPHY: Joseph Oneto went to Brazil or Argentina before coming to the United States.( He told this to his family members).This story was told to me, Elaine Oneto, by my father Emile Oneto.
 There are Oneto members in Brazil that believe that we are related to them by Joseph's brother, John, who also went to Brazil.
 Joseph Oneto saw a picture of a young boy in the newspaper who was playing some kind of musical instrument for the then King of Italy,Victor Emmanuel. The caption read the boy's name and Joseph said that the boy was his nephew by his older brother. This is a story that was told to me, Elaine Oneto, by my father, Emile Oneto.
