Note:   Minnie Stubbs rites Saturday Funeral services for Minnie Stubbs, 85, Willow Springs, will be at 2 pm Saturday in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, with the Rev Glen Murray officiating. Mrs Stubbs died at 5:45 pm Tuesday in St Johns Regional Health Center, Springfield. She was born March 30, 1901, in Howell County, the daughter of the late Dan M and Rhilda Bell Collins. She was married April 3, 1917 in Howell County, to Zeke Stubbs, who preceded her in death March 8, 1951. She was a member of the Oak Grove Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star at Dora. Survivors include five children, Norval Stubbs, West Plains, Everett Stubbs, Peace Valley, Wayne Stubbs, West Plains, Vernie Jones (misprint), Houston, and Virgie Stubbs, Willow Springs; one sister, Mrs John (Mary Ellen) Von Allmen, West Plains; two half sisters, Bessie Lovans, West Plains, and Elsie Haring Slevens, South Carolina; two half brothers, Arthur Haring, Kentucky, and Lonzo Haring, West Plains; 36 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Fred and Charles Stubbs, one daughter, Agnes Murrell, three brothers, Perry Collins, Orville Collins, and an infant brother, one half brother, John Western Collins, and two half sisters, Pearl Lawing and Vicie DeWitt. Burial will be in the Collins Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, West Plains.
