Note:   from the West Plains Quill, April 7, 1964 Thomas Johnson Succumbs Here Thomas James Johnson, Twin Bridges, died at 9:45 last night at the Wetzel Nursing Home here following a five months illness. Mr Johnson was born at Hebron, Mo., Feb. 2 , 1889 to the late John William and Louisa Collins Johnson. He had spent his entire life in the Twin Bridges Community where he was engaged in farming. In September, 1911, he was married to Hattie Ecton. She died in November 1959. In January of 1961 he was married to Florence Adams, who died April 14, 1963. Surviving are three children, Starlin Johnson of Dora, Herlin Johnson of Twin Bridges, and Mrs Norma Nance of Republic; and a sister, Mrs Cordelia Huett of Caldwell, Idaho. Mr Johnson was a Baptist since early manhood. For many years he served as director for the Big Springs School Board in Douglas County. Funeral arrangements are incomplete but will be under the direction of Roberston Funeral Home.
