Note:   West Plains Daily Quill, Monday, Jan. 12, 2004 Hazel Gordon services Wednesday Funeral services for Hazel Faye Croney Gordon, 58, West Plains, will be 2 pm Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004, in the Rose Chapel of the Robertson-Drago Funeral Home of West Plains, with the Rev Bobby Brazeal officiating. Mrs. Gordon died 1:15 pm Saturday, Jan 10, 2004, in Ozarks Medical Center, West Plains. She was born July 4, 1945 at Dora, the daughter of Odie L and Eva Elberta Welch Croney. She attended West Plains High School, and on April 11, 1993, was married at Oskaloosa, Kan., to Don Gordon. Mrs Gordon was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No 4015 Auxiliary and the American Legion Womens Auxiliary, both of Oskaloosa. She loved to cook and decorate cakes. She had owned the Avenue Cafe. Most of all, she loved being a mother. Mrs Gordon was a member of the Sixth Street Church of God in West Plains. Survivors include her husband, Don Gordon, of the family home; seven children, Denise Milligan and husband, Robert, Cord, Ark., Kevin Collins and wife, Louise, Richmond, Ky., Keith Collins and Dawn Kintner and husband Kevin, all of West Plains, Leanna Heisler and husband, Calvin, Newport, Ark., Michael Gordon and wife Stephanie, and Shelly Walker and husband Kyle, all of Lawrence, Kan.; 19 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; four sisters, Dorothy Stowers and Helen Drumright, both of West Plains, Eunice Flowers, McClouoth, Kan., and Ruby Warren, Sycamore; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents one son, Michael L Collins; three brothers, James Croney, Leffel "Buck" Croney, and Bill Croney; and two sisters, Thelma Croney and Joanne Croney. Memorial contributions may be made to Brixey-Collins Cemetery and left at the funeral home. The body will lie in state at the funeral home from noon Tuesday until service time. Family visitation will be 7 to 8 pm Tuesday. Burial will be in Brixey-Collins Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
