a. Note:   West Plains Daily Quill Marion T Ellison Services Friday Funeral services for Marion Thomas (Tom) Ellison, West Plains, will be held Friday at 2 pm in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains, with the Rev Dale Skiles officiating. Mr Ellison died suddenly at 2:45 pm yesterday at his home. He was born at Topaz, Mo, July 8 1893 the son of the late George W adn Cynthia Farro Ellison. He had spent his entire life in this area where he was engaged in farm labor. For a period of time he operated the Pumpkin Center Store west of West Plains and for a short time he operated a store at Kennett, Mo. In 1913 he was married to Rosie Collins at Farewell, Mo. In 1931 he was married to Ethel Waddle who preceded him in death in 1961. In June, 1961 he was married to Mary Wise. Mr Ellison had been a member of the Birch Valley Baptist Church at Birch Tree for a number of years. Preceding him in death are five brothers and one sister. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellison; five children, Josephine Greer, Bakersfield, Mo; Lorene Dawson, Lemay, Mo; Marion T Ellison, Willow Springs, Mo; William Moore, St Louis, Mo; Richard Leader, Willow Springs, Mo; three adopted children, Eugene Ellison, Willow Springs, Mo, Lorene Carroll, Springdale, Ark; Opal Turnbull, Springdale, Ark; a step-son, Larry Ellison, West Plains, Mo; a sister, Mary Osborne, Willow Springs, Mo; and a brother, Otis Ellison, Marshfield, Mo. Interment will be beside his mother in Howell Valley Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains. Mary, his third wife, was at one time his daughter-in-law.
