Note: West Plains Daily Quill, March 30, 1984 Bertha Johnson services Sat. Graveside services for Bertha Johnson, 77, West Plains, will be at 2 pm Saturday in Dripping Springs Cemetery. Mrs Johnson died at 1:45 pm Thursday in West Plains Memorial Hospital. She was born Sept 19, 1907, in Sycamore, the daughter of the late George William and Stella Collins Coble. She received her education in the Seed Tick School near Sycamore and the Galloway School in West Plains. On Feb 23, 1926, she was married at West Plains to James Johnson, who preceded her in death Feb 4, 1975. She had been of the Pentecostal faith. Survivors include three sons, Donald and Robert (Bob) Johnson, both of West Plains, and J W (Billy) Johnson, Eureka, Kan; four grandchildren; three brothers, Loyd and Bert Coble, both of West Plains, and Robbie Coble, Fremont, Calif; three sisters, Clara Dover, Bakersfield, Calif, Mable Roberts, West Plains, and Clora Wagnor, Reno, Nev; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, one brother and one sister. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 pm today at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains. Burial will be in Dripping Springs Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains.
