Note: Daniel Martin Collins and Rilda Belle Johnson came from the same Collins clan. Belle Johnson Collins vs. Dan Collins. Married Dec 6, 1844, Separated Dec 17, 1912. Children of this marriage: Minnie, age 12; William, age 10; Vicie, age 8; May Ellen, age 6; Orval, age 3; Gertrude, age 6 weeks. Belle states that Dan cursed and struck her and made her life intolerable. I got this information from Jennie Green who stated it came from Dawn Baty. She states that Rilda Bell Johnson and Daniel Martin came from the same Collins Clan. Marriage Notes for Daniel Collins and Rilda Johnson: April 4, 1913 Howell County Circuit Court 11th day of March Term 110 Belle Collins (9035) vs Dan Collins On this day this cause coming on to be heard comes the respective parties herein by their attorneys, and announce ready for trial. A jury being waived. The matters and facts are submitted to the court and the court finds that this is an action for a divorce on the grounds of indigmities, abuse, threatening and accusing plaintiff also treating her with contempt and sursing and at divers times has struck this plaintiff, and the court after hearing all of the evidence introduced herein, arguments of the respective counsels and after being fully advised in the premises doth find that the plaintiff has resided within this state one whole year next before the filing of her petition herein and that the allegations contained in her petition are true and that she is the innocent and injured party and entitled to the relief sought. And the court further finds that there were born of the marriage six children of tender years, Minnie aged 12 years, William, 10 years, Vicie, aged 8 years, May Ellen, aged 6 years, Orval aged 3 years and Gertrude, aged 6 weeks. The court further finds that the defendant is seized in real and personal property in the value of six hundred dollars ($600.00) and that the plaintiff is destitute of resources to prosecute this suit and maintain the aforesaid children. It is therefore considered, ordered, adjudged and decreed by the court that the bonds of matrimony heretofore contracted and entered into between the plaintiff and defendant be and they are hereby dissolved and esteemed and held for naught, and that she be restored to all the rights and privileges of a single person. It is further ordered by the court that the plaintiff have the car and custody of all her children, namely, court; Minnie aged 12 years, William, 10 years, Vicie, aged 8 years, May Ellen, aged 6 years, Orval aged 3 years and Gertrude, aged 6 weeks. It is further ordered that the plaintiff have and recover of and from the defendant the sum of three hundred dollars ($300.00) alimony, and hereof execution issue therefor. Divorce Filed: April 11, 1913, Howell Co., MO ************** West Plains Daily Quill, July 8, 1958 Mrs Relda Haring Dies at Her Home Mrs Relda Belle Haring, 73, widow of Harvey Haring, a life long resident of Howell and Douglas counties, Rt 2, Pomona, died suddenly at 11:10 last night at her home, suffering from a heart condition. She was born in Douglas County May 2, 73 years ago to the late William and Louisa Collins Johnson. She was married in West Plains Dec. 6, 1916 to Harvey Haring. He died June 21, 1957. Surviving are three sons, Perry Collins, Caldwell, Idaho; Lonzo Haring and Arthur Haring, both of West Plains; five daughters, Minnie Stubbs, Siloam Springs; Mary Ellen VonAllmen, West Plains, Pearl Lawing, Rockford, Ill, Bessie Lovans, West Plains, Elsie Revis, Kansas City; a step son, Ralph Haring, Pomona, and a step daughter, Velma Redburn, Koshkonong. Three sons and three daughters precede her in death. There are two half brothers, Thomas Johson, Twin Bridges and Marion Johnson, Hebron; a half sister, Cordelia Ecton, Idaho; 42 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren. Mrs Haring was a member of the Church of God for many years with membership in the West Plains Church. Funeral arrangements are incomplete but will be under the direction of Robertson Funeral Home. West Plains Daily Quill, July 10, 1958 Mrs Relda Harings Funeral Services Set for Saturday Funeral services for Mrs Relda Belle Haring, widow of Harvey Haring, will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the New Liberty Church. Burial will be in New Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Robertson Funeral Home.
